Richardson Coutts Government Relations and Public Affairs was founded in July 2007 by John Richardson and Stephen Coutts.

We bring over 60 years combined experience in government and public affairs to our business. We were both senior political advisers with more than a decade each working for our respective sides of Australian politics. We have first-hand experience and insight into the operations of government including Ministers, their staff and officials and Members of Parliament at both State and Commonwealth level.

Since leaving government, we have provided public affairs, government relations and communications advice to Australian and international corporate clients across a wide range of industry sectors.

Most importantly, we bring to our clients our unique appreciation of how government relations and public affairs works most effectively and how our clients can best engage with Governments of all levels and political persuasions.

We provide strategic advice as well as direct lobbying services on behalf of our clients. We have extensive experience in formulating and implementing campaigns for our clients including government engagement programs, product familiarization and promotion, Government policy changes and major bid assistance and advice.

Since 2009 Richardson Coutts has been part of FIPRA (http://www.fipra.com/) a worldwide independent network of senior public policy and regulatory advisers.

We are registered Lobbyists in all states and Territories as well as the Commonwealth of Australia.
